"Singing" Front Brakes

The front brakes on my '02 Fatboy just started "singing" while riding this weekend. I checked the pads which are originals with 7000 miles and they still look pretty meaty. Is this sound an indicator in the pads to change them out?

No. They do not have a squealer like cars do. But make sure you can see both sides of the rotor to make sure the pads are about the same. You may need to take the pads out and apply some of that anti squeal paste/liquid to them. If you go to this trouble, might as well break the glaze on the rotors with some emery cloth, and rough up the surface of the pads before you reinstall.

It wouldn't hurt to jack it up and spin your wheel to make sure your disk is not warped as well..
