Shock Absorber 2008 Dyna

I have a 2008 DYNA FXDC, The shocks are adjusted as tight as they go. I am big but not that big. Approx. 280 lbs. When I hit bumps it sounds like I am rubbing something like maybe the tire. Do the shocks need to be replaced or could they be set to tight? 10,400 miles.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any sign of it rubbing on the tire? try and loosen them up a bit and see if it helps, they could be to stiff. At 10,000 miles you should be good to go for a lot more miles before you need to change them.

Is it possible the someone put shorter shocks on?

If you are bottoming out quite a bit try some Progressive Heavy Duty shocks.

I am not much smaller than you. When I got my '06 Lowrider it had 11 1/2 inch Progressives on it. They bottomed out everywhere I went even after going to the manufacture's shop and having heavy springs added. In the end I went to 12.75 inch Progressive 440's. Now I can ride as aggressive as i like and never bottom out. Bike sits I little taller though, but handles hard turns much better. Good Luck
