I live and ride in a helmet state so the few times my wife has hopped on the bike with me, she's remarked that it kind of sucks not being able to talk to each other without shouting or using hand signals. I've read about some nice intercom systems that you can also use your phone with or hear GPS directions. I mainly am interested in the intercom capabilities.
I would love to be able to talk to my passenger about required nature breaks or missed turns (I know you guys never miss a turn!) but I find it distracting, even in the car, to hear about every pretty butterfly or yard sale sign that goes by. I love my wife but boy, does she love to talk!
So, how do you guys handle this? Just discuss a set of rules or grit your teeth and put up with it for the sake of marital bliss?
