Seat springs to complete suspension job

Hi,

I'm 242 Lbs (110 kilogrammes) heavy guy and i have short rear shocks.
I'm looking for seat spring which could complete / assist the rear shock in the suspension job.
I hesitate between different seat spring

QUESTION :
Do you have some opinion on the springs references above which could accomplish this job ?

Are you saying that the springs on your short shocks are bottoming out?

I'm not sure if the rear shocks are botoming or if they are too hard.
Anyway i'll put a spring seat and i'm looking for the better springs i listed to do the complementary job.
 
All of the spring and spring/shock combinations that you referenced require a solo type seat with a front piviot. You would have to modify your current frame to accept these types of seat/spring/shock combos. If it were me I would first find out what rate spring I currently have and try to purchase a stronger rated spring for the shocks.
 
You're right i plan to purchase a solo leather seat and to order a metal plate to fix on the frame and to bolt the seat on it.

Your suggestion to look for stronger shock springs is wise but i feel the current shock springs can do an acceptable job which might be perfected with a pair of seat strong springs ( + that would also look very nice on the bike).

Do you know which seat springs models are the strongest ?
 
Several of the spring/shock combinations have different rate springs and I'm sure the sellers would know which combo you need. I also notice that the springs in the combos were preload adjustable. I would caution that if your current shocks are bottoming out you will end up with a rigid style ride which will further lower the rear and could cause you some severe handling problems. If you contact one of the aftermarket shock manufacturers I'm sure you can have a pair of shocks that will give you a better ride and improved handling. Works Shocks will build a set of shocks to your size and bike. Progressive Suspension will also taylor shocks to your needs. You also might want to look into a set of Arnott/Bilstien Air shocks.
