Seat for person with lower back issues

Have an 08 RKC with a mustang seat. Yesterday I rode about 200 miles doing a PGR escort. I can barely move today. I have some significant lower back issues with rods and deck screws and cages in my lower back. Anyone in the same boat and have a seat recommendation? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest a backrest no matter the seat you pick. It makes all the difference. I have a Mustang two-up with driver backrest for the longer rides. I have Corbin solo with drivers backrest for everything else.
I do not have back issues but on either seat, its all about the backrest.

Couldn't you just cut the stem of the backrest off until it hits you just right? Maybe worth it.

I dont have any rods or screws, but my lower back is pretty bad, I do a lot of stretching exercises before and after would that help?

Have to agree with Tank. It is not always about the seat, the riding position can cause a lot of pressure on the lower back. You did not say how tall you are or if you have tried different positions for the footboards. Mean City does do some great work with seats but if the rest of the ergos are wrong work on the seat may not cure your problem.

Diesel I have a back rest that will fit your RK with all hardware part #52572-09A 100.00 I'm on the N/W side of Houston p/m me if interested

Sorry I didn't see you already have a backrest maybe you need Mean City Cycles I had the same problem as you and when they lowered me into my seat problem solved:bigsmiley12:

Im with Tank. If you have stock handlebars. Thats where your problem is. I have an electra glide that I made into a trike. Thats when I changed my handlebars. Made a giant improvement. With stock bars on the electra. My lower back would scream at me.
