Does anyone know if you can fit the saddle bag crash bars off an 09' and newer on an 08' and older bike? I have a 2000 Ultra and have the chance to pick up some black bars for cheap...but they are off a 2009.

The P&A book says no.
You can get a free P&A book from a dealer or go on-line to Harley-Davidson to check the parts.
Just look to see what years they fit.
Those bars WILL NOT fit. I have an 09 EG and had a set of bag bars from an 01 and they would not fit. Ended up selling those and finding a new set for a hundred bucks on craigs list. Good luck, the deals are out their you just got to be patient.
