Rheostat removal

I am switching my grips and would like to know how to remove the flyby wire rheostat from the grip?
I have the grip off but not sure how to get it out:( Thanks Dave

the throttle by wire should have stayed in bars or just come right out of grip

The flyby wire rheostat should have stayed in the end of the bars. The grip itself has grooves the rheostat mates with in the grip.

The twist grip sensor in the right side of the handlebar has a
seal cap that protects internal electrodes from dirt and moisture,
and also serves as a retention device for the throttle grip.
To remove the grip, a slight tug may be necessary to release
the index pins in the grip from the receptacle in the seal cap.
Upon removing the grip, check the location of the seal cap.

When i took the grip off the rheostat stayed in the grip. I am wondering how hard can i pull on wires to get it out? What might happen if i tap grip on bench might it fall out then

MAYBE if you take Like a Chopstick and Push it Thru the end rubber , It will leave a hole but get the unit out....
Don't give grief back, it is Just a suggestion.
