repair outer fairing

I had a strap come loose on my bike when I was trailering it, and looks like I broke one of the post on the outer fairing that the inner fairing scews to. Is there any suggestions on how to reattach the post. I was thinking of removing fairing and glueing w/ an epoxy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd say give it a shot. Scuff the area up pretty good so the epoxy will "bite". Maybe use JB Weld. Anyway, good luck with it.

The home stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Menards) should have strong adhesive (i.e. 2-ton glue) to give it a try. If not, can check on the sales sites for outer fairing - see if you can get one at a decent price. Good luck!

You might try asking a auto body shop or supplier what they use. I have read that the repair shops use a special glue/epoxy made for ABS type plastics (bumpers,etc.

Check with the HD dealer, they have a repair kit.
