removing wax and polish

just wondering if any one knows and tricks to take the wax and polish off the black rough cast of the engine? the more I try to becareful with not getting any on it I seam to get more on now after finishing cleaning the chrome last night the blac part of the engine looks bad. so any info about removing it would be helpful

S100 engine brightener works great for me. Just spray it on and leave it.

I would suggest using Pledge and you would not have that problem.....:s
Just spray the Pledge on your rag, apply, and when a haze wipe off with a clean soft rag.

I use HD Engine Brightner on mine. I "think" it's a similar product to what Geezer uses. I scrub it in with a toothbrush on the water spots. Takes um right off, makes the black engine parts look newly painted.

Dawn dish detergent will take wax off quickly and easily.
