Rear Motor Mounts

Does the pivot shaft need to be removed to change the rear mounts or can it be slid side to side to change them?

2013 FLHX Harley calls them rubber mounts, part number is 47584-09

No need to remove the pivot shaft. Why replace? They last a long time.
