hi had same problem with my 05 sporty custom, changed pads, new pad pins & new brake fluid cleaned caliper worked fine then suddenly had to push pedal harder to make them work, another bleed & they were ok,i am just waiting for parts to do master cylinder rebuild due to one of the seals splitting,
ride safe

Remove the calliper and take out the brake pads. Scrub the pads (both sides) pins and the calliper with hot soapy water. Make sure the piston is moving in and out freely. Put a piece of carpet or softwood in place to stop pushing the piston completely out. Copper grease the piston and push back in. Copper grease the back of the pads and the pins and reassemble. Torque the mounting bolts to the correct tension. You should find a marked improvement.
