Radio Upgrade for Older FLT?

I am looking for an upgrade for my 89 FLT that I can retain my handlebar controls. Biketronics has discontinued the equipment needed for this upgrade. I know this will most likely not be plug and play but that is not an issue for me. Any info appreciated.

At long last I am doing the upgrade. I installed a Sony MEX-N4100BT along with Axxess ASWC 1 interface. I can not get the hand controls to work . The interface sees the radio. Any help with this issue would be appreciated as I know I am not the first to do this conversion.

You need to find out if radio has the optional accessory to recognize buttons.
