Radio Reflash

I have a 2014 street glide special with the upgraded gps/radio. It comes with 2 speakers in the fairing. I am considering adding bag lids with speakers. I was told by my local stereo store they would have to reflash the radio...my question is, has anyone had this done? If so did it affect the radio in any other operations other than volume? Thanks

When the dealer re-flashes the radio, all it does is open two more speaker channels . You may need to add an amp to get the power needed. I'm not an audiophile, so this is a basic answer.
