Pulling a trailer

Does anyone know about how much load a trailer puts on the charging system? Gonna take a trip up to Montana and wanting to pull my trailer, but I'm wandering if it might be too much for the charging system. Also, would it be fairly easy to convert the trailer lights to LED? Thank you for your help. I love this forum!!

I'm not a good one to Give advice on this.:small3d023:

Where is Hoople when you need him? :(

I TOO would think about going LED's... IT'S the way to go. Todays technology on Lighting is GREAT...

That alone would be MY Choice...:D

I have a Road Dog Wide Track Deluxe and it came with LED lights.
I'm not concerned about an extra "load."
Just two extra lights at the rear, not as if I was running anything with a big load.
Bike has 50 amp charging system and all the lights are LED anyway.

My bike is an '07 UGC and you have an '08 so your charging system should handle it.
I'd worry more about the load you might carry. (Brakes, etc.)
