Primary oil

I run Mobile1 V-twin for my engine oil. I am wondering if it is good to use in the primary as well.

You shouldn't use a synthetic oil in the primary. With miles they will tend to slip.

Mobile 1 V twin is OK in the primary. It works equally well in tranny's, clutches or the engine. You do have to watch out for syn. that have energy conserving features but Mobile 1 V twin is not one of them.

Lots of info & different views on any oil topic. I use the V twin and many others do as well. Do some research.

Here's my rule of thumb IRT oils:
1. Motor oil is for engine
2. Gear oil is for tranny
3. Primary fluid for clutch
Never let me down yet...JMO.

In YOUR bike that is.

Each compartment has it's own needs as far as oil and one oil isn't the answer in all three even thou Mobil 1 VT is a good oil.
