The few obvious basics like sun behind the person taking the photograph, and try to pay attention to the background. For example, try to avoid having lots of power lines, etc. In the shot. Also, I think the angle of the camera is important. A lot of shots look pretty great with the camera held low and pointed slightly upward towards the subject.

Hi Jack:newsmile090:. So as not to get to far off topic can anyone suggest a good camera to carry on the bike? I would like it if I didn't have to go the the junior college to learn to use it. Oh and I don't have an 8 year old here to teach me either.
