passing lamps problems

I installed some passing lamps on my 2008 street glide and connected all the wires but they won't work all the other lights work but the spot lights won't turn on and I don't have the high beams on, I check the gray/black wire for current with a test light and it has no current can someone tell where that wire is coming from or were can I get power from. thanks

yes I do but I can't find the gray/black wire

You should be able to find the wire in the headlight area and the circuit for the switch, check to make sure there is a fuse in the position for that circuit in the fuse box being it came without the passing lights.
