Passenger Headset Plug

Hello, I am wanting to remove the passenger headset plug that is attatched to the bottom of the tour pack. I will never use the plug and would like to get rid of the extra wiring that goes with it.

I am wanting to know where the plug disconnects. I traced the wire going under the tank but I'm not sure how far it goes before the connector.

My 2007 service manual wiring diagram shows a connector close to the passenger headset plug. I have a Classic, not a U.C., and there is an unused plug on my bike along the left side frame rail near the shock mount.
