old rt 66 - how long to do

chicago to la. 2500 miles. about 350 miles per day (stops, etc) so 8 days should be good. anybody have other thoughts? has anybody shipped their bike back home? who did you use?

We did St. Louis to San Diego..many stops along the way..went the southern route pick up 10 down in Texas, but returned via I-40 aka 66..well sorta...lol. I-40...is faster...we took 14 days...avg. 350-400 a day....but like I said it was a site seeing trip not a race...lol...enjoy it and when ya can: get off the Interstate and enjoy what life used to be....its amazing what you'll find just a few miles off the Interstate. Enjoy the Ride we did ...
