Oil leaking into primary.

I could be wrong, as I am a newbie at this, but it appears that oil is leaking into my primary case from underneath the compensaing sprocket assembly. not sure if this is normal or if this requires a repair.

If it's leaking in there, the seal behind the stator needs to be replaced. You'll find the engine oil low and the primary oil higher than normal.

Thats what I was afraid of....Thanks for the advice.

Look at the 2 screws that hold the stator wiring. I changed a stator on a heritage, and when I removed the screws that hold the wiring away from the moving parts, engine oil started leaking in thru the hole. It will leak down, and appear to be coming from under the compensator.
