I know the manual doesn't call for it but I always but some RTV on the plug before I push it thru the primary case. I've never had one leak.

Be care ful with RTV it can travel and get in and plug oil galleries:s

RTV = Room Temperature Vulcanizing - does not have anything to do with Star Trek...just rubber/silicone based sealant that cures and solidifies at room temperature.

It won't migrate into the oil galleries if you only use a small dab under "light" pressure in moderation. :s

Dont forget to cean the plug and metal with either carb/brake cleaner or alcahol. RTV doesnt seal well when things are oily , just sayin..

When mine developed a leak the dealer said the only fix is to replace the stator,Lucky me they did it under warranty.
