G glider Veteran Member Dec 24, 2008 #2 If you are talking about where the backing plate meets the cylinder, there is an "O" ring in the rear of the backing plate in a recess that is supposed to seal it up. Either the "O" ring is missing/broken or the bolt is not tight.
