no cruse control

ok I followed the directions in my repair manual to get the diagnostics on why my cruse control does not work. really easy to do. I got code 122. which is "application of front or rear brakes". sweet!

The problem is that the book has nothing on what or how to fix this.


any ideas?

Check the front and rear brake light switches.

marcus22; check your front & rear brake switches...either could be faulty rendering your cruise inoperable.

Any recent handlebar mods that could've caused damage to the front switch?

thanks! no mods so i wonder what it could be. i think they still work fine though

Have someone follow you to see if your brake light is flickering on and off. If it is take your front handlebar assembly apart and inspect the brake light switch. The pin has probably broken.
