New Tires

Looking at tires for a Street Glide. They offer a bias and a radial for the front but only a bias-ply for the rear. Always thought mixing would be taboo. Has anyone put a radial on the front? Any improvement or is it just paying more for something not noticeable?

If looking for mileage, look at Dunlop Elite; if looking for bite, look at Avons. I have run radial front/bias rear and visa versa with no issues. Mixing brands and radial vs bias taboo is BS.
