Im the New Guy and have read the no trolling??? no bumbing?? and no flaming?? rules, whatever they mean. I guess I'll have to learn these terms too.
I have a 98 FXSTC which just cooked its stator plug and ran till the battery died and left me on the side of the road. The stator plug was literally melting down as I watched It was pretty ugly. I just got the Accel 32Amp kit with rotor, stator and VR (chrome Why is it chrome) and of course my new primary gasket as well. I searched for any posts but the ones I found were not too informative. Any tips other than pay close attention to my manual, use the proper tools and don't break anything?? I might try youtube to see if somebody way smarter than me had the forthought to video the job. Anyways, Im glad to be here and hope to hear from the collectives.
