new (for me) bike oil change

just purchased a 1999 fatboy and want to get the fluids changed so I have a known starting point for future changes. until I get my hands on a service manual, can someone direct me as to the correct fluids and quantities?

well the first oil change is done. the oil filter took some blue ball torque to remove. that was the only hard part. the trans and primary were a piece of cake. also was able to adjust the primary chain.

Well congrats on your fluids change. Be sure to scribble you mileage some where for records. The oil filters do seem to get TIGHT by them selves after only hand tightening to install. The HD filter cap wrench is very handy.

definitely the right thing to do. oil was very thin with a gas smell.
