I haven't had to worry about breaking in a new motor for many years and never a new bike. I have a friend/boss that just went from a BMW to a new CVO Limited. He has only about 300 Miles on it so far ( has only had it a few weeks here in Ohio). We have talked about breaking it in (the 30 - 60 mph, 3/4 throttle ) and he has done that. He is planning a trip to Florida ( Trailering it I believe ) He is concerned about the first 1000 Mile service as he expects to put more than 1000 miles on it and wants the 1000 mile service done by a Tech/mechanic that understands the importance of that first service. It being more than a routine service. It is the first fluid change and a check of all the factory adjustments and basically the first inspection of the bike since leaving the factory. Especially since he is new a Harley owner. I am looking for some advice.
