i have a2002 altra clssic,a whilei wrote the fourm my bike was cuttig out i was told 2 replace the 40 amp fuse with a 50 amp i did i bought the last 3 the dealer ship had . the proulbem is still there i have used all 3 in a month. all my conection are tight i have shook all the wireers i could see while the bike was running and found no porulbems any sugg?

Im not real good w/ electrics but u may have a minor short not a dead short meaning intermitent grouding of a wire some where these are hard to find.someone may have another idea.....

Do you know if the breaker is opening when this problem happens? That may shed some light on the problem. If necessary you could wire in a small litgt and socket to the out side of the breaker terminal as a temp way of seeing it is it tripping indication a short somewhere in the wiring past the breaker.
