Mikuni tune

That is a good tuning manual. Just follow it carefully. I took quite a while to tune my HSR42, fiddling on almost every ride until I got it right. One part I found really helpful was marking my throttle housing, and my grip (have air filter off to make sure slide corresponds with them) and making runs at all the recommended throttle settings several times before making a change. I haven't changed anything about my carb for about 15 yrs.

The manual covers most of it however I did replace the float bowl screws with allen screws as the heads on the one fitted to the carb seem to fall apart as soon as they see a screwdriver having done all this some years ago I have not had to touch the carbs since they were done

I haven't touched mine, yet. Sometimes the exhaust backfire is bad but the spit thru the carb concerns me. But it's not constant. sometimes it's much more common, others not so much. Also the response is soft at times, even stumbles.
