Loose Floorboards

While cleaning my deluxe and popped the floor boards off. Now I can't get them to stay on. There are 3 rubber nipples that need to be pushed through the metal base board. I can get them all through but they will not stay on. Any ideas?

Put a bit of something like armor all on the nipples and pull them through from underneath. Sounds like they aren't all the way through.
