Locktite Thread Repair

Does anyone here have any experience using this product?

I am in need of repairing a stripped tranny drain on my 01 softtail and just wondering.

It didn't work for me. Heli-coil is the best solution. They may make an aftermarket replacement plug that is oversized and cuts new threads as you tighten it down.

I would only use this on a project that would likely not have to come apart often or ever (never on my bike). Your Harley is far too valuable to do a half repair like this.
 
With vibration and oil, I would at the very least Heli coil, better to time sert as this is a permanent repair JMO:D
 
I would not think that with traces of oil that the stuff would set up. Fix it properly and you will have piece of mind. Nothing like be in the boonies and start thinking about a patch job.
