Leaky primary inspection cover

I am having problems with a leaky primary inspection cover. HD must know about this problem as there have been four different gaskets sold for my bike since I bought it. The design seems flawed since the cover is totally flat, no bevel or anything for a gasket to seal. Does anyone have a fix for this leak??

Primary and cover are stock 2002 Softail.

Get a new cover or place the old cover good side down and straighten out the area around the holes where the bolts pull it in too tightly from over tightening them by tapping them down with a socket on the cover then tap the socket lightly with a hammer till straight.

Thanks Glider, I looked at it and it looks flat but I bet it's warped from tightening. I will
try your trick.

Hold a straight edge across the cover over the holes and you'll see why it's leaking. The gasket isn't enough to make up the difference.
