Installing Mini Apes

Got everything to install my mini apes. Pulling the wire through the bars, Do I take the Black Casing off the wires or pull them through with it on the wires??:small3d007:

I would bet that you want the casings on the wire to protect harness.

If they'll fit through with the casings on then I'd definitely leave them that way.

The more insulation you can keep on them, the better. Make sure the holes are deburred, and use something to lube the sheath/cover. I don't know how you are doing the connections, if cutting & soldering make sure you stagger joints so you don't end up with a LUMP.

A bit of spray silicone lube and pull em thru:s

I saw somewhere that you can drop a small piece of chain in the bars to help pull the wire through the bars. It will go right around the bends by shaking the a little.It was one of the guys that makes bars. He had a short vid on how to do it. But I can't seem to find it.

Yep CLAP, chain and a little dish soap works well also Jack.

I bought electricians lube for pulling wires. Dont be afraid to lube em up.

Did mine with the casings on. Use LOTS OF LUBE............don't forget to post some pics when you're done.
