In need of some help

Hello,

I own a 97 Sportster 1200.
Installed new battery.
Bike ran like a charm.
Went to start later in the evening.
Bike would not turn over.
Battery fully charged, no turn over sound.
I'm under the assumption that it may be electrical not sure.
Could use help from the community.

Locate your starter relay and check the terminals to make sure they are clean and making good contact. You also want to check the battery cables and the green wire that goes to the starter to make sure that they are clean and tight.

Also, How did you turn it off? Key or Kill...Is the toggle switch "ON" to run when you are trying to start it?

Do you have lights?

The kill switch CAN have Bad stuff in/on it. (handlebar two screws off)

Key wire ON the back of the key Switch OK not loose wire there?

How many miles on that Nice older Sporty?
