I just bought a used 98 dynaglide. On the test ride everything seemed cool, but on the ride home (60 plus miles) I lost power to the transmission and the bike just revved in any gear. I pulled off on the shoulder and it behaved as if in neutral through all 5 gears. I noticed a crap ton of oil on the right side and checked... sure enough, the tank looked pretty close to empty. I added new oil to the correct level and the bike started grabbing gears when I tried to push it. When I put it in neutral and tried to start it though the starter just spins without engaging the engine. When I put it in gear and hit the start switch, though, it lurches forward so I know its engaging. Any suggestions?
