hydraulic cam tensioner

Hey all,

I finished the installation of the hydraulic cam chain tensioner kit in my Road King. Andrews kit. Uses Harley parts except for the Andrews cams. NOW, the large cam bearings are not used in the cam plate, rather they use a cam bushing material( or maybe the cam spins against aluminum ) not 100% sure but I know there are no cam bearings in the plate but my question is, the Screamin' Eagle kit shows a bearing retainer in the catalog picture but if you just purchase the SE billet cam support plate is describes cam bushings made of 660 bronze material. Does the SE KIT use the cam bearings or not?

Any input would be great. Thanks. Ride safe !!

the SE hybrid kit does use bearings in the camplate...kinda why they call it a hybrid kit because you use your original cams (witch have to have a bearings 2 work) but it uses hydraulic tensioners like you said the new style uses a slip fit babbitt bearing (witch works great by the way) automotive engines have been using this style for many many years the cam journal rides on a film of oil.
