I am getting my bike painted and need to remove all the metal. i need to know if the fuel line connection is a quik connect and or how do i remove it?
how do i remove the gas tank?

fusion welcome, when I pull a fuel tank I like to put a piece of cardboard on top of the front rocker box, sometimes the clamp on the cross over hose can scratch the top cover while removing the tank. Also pull the ECM fuse (under the seat) and start the engine to purge the fuel system to prevent fuel from spraying while disconnecting the fuel line, also be careful, the plastic elbo at fuel line quick-connect is a weak spot in the line, disconnect the fuel line before removing any tank bolts. I would also pick up a service manual for your bike, it will pay for it self in the future, if you enjoy doing your own work. And after you get her painted , how about posting a few pic's, I'm sure the whole forum would enjoy seeing them. Ride safe
