im putting on a start button and a stop button on my handle bars never these on bike before each button switch has two wires that come out of it so where do the wires go to make them start and stop the engine thanks

The start button should send low current voltage to your starter relay & the run stop switch should interrupt power flow to the ignition system. I think on the older bikes I wired the kill switch to ground the points, but that was a push button kill.

thanks chopper my bike is a late model custom still not sure were the two wires from start switch goes and same for stop switch

If your bike (04 arlen ness) is a softail, get a 04 softail manual and look at the wiring diagram in it and you won't be all the same but the basic's are the same. You can also check the self help section, there might be something helpfull there also. Good luck
