Heavy Breather Install

Installing a heavy breather is simple. The 07 requires part number 29299-08.
This is the same as the part number listed for Dyna and Softails.
There is little difference between Carb and EFI. I am doing the EFI.

Step one remove air cleaner and backing plate. Simple enough.
Remove the two breather screws 7/16 save them you will need them...

Save all those parts you may need them someday...

Next instruction say to remove Induction module bracket.
Don't lose any sleep mine did not have one either...

Install the two fat smaller oil rings to the back of the back plate there is a grove for them...

Put back plate gasket on back plate it sticks on.
Install the two breather screws with a small amount of loctite 12-144 in lbs
do not tighten yet...

Apply loctite to the 3 round head screws install in back plate to induction module do not tighten yet.

Now tighten breather screws alternating back and forth till tight.

Oil or lithium grease the 4 thin larger O rings and install them on the breather plugs...

Tighten the mounting screws to 55-60in lbs.

From here on you need to look at the pictures in HD instructions to mount the intake tube and element. It is real east to do...

The job is less than 1 hour that includes getting out tools and clean up.
I did this for looks not for more power bikes does seem to roll on stronger but that may be just because it sounds different you can hear it sucking more air in when you roll back on it.
