Heavy breather EVO

I have a 97 EVO with some engine work done. Compression Upped to 9.5:1 ported and flowed heads and added an Andrews EV27 cam SE exhaust and SE 1 air filter. I'm just wondering is the SE 2 filter system better for venting
the engine than the old stock set-up. I had an umbrella go bad and soaked the air filter full, so I thought the up-grade to SE @ would be a benefit, or maybe not. Is there a better engine vent system available?

Indeed, all my Evos ran way better with more air and fuel:s

I upgraded to the zippers filter which is taller on my evo and it made a noted difference, I had to rejet the carb.
