I rode about 6 hours yesterday on a rental 2008 Fatboy and several times got to experience the very high heat issue on my right leg that's been talked about at length. And this was in the San Diego area where the temperature topped out around 80.
I have a 2008 Street Glide and have never experienced anything even CLOSE to what I felt on the Fatboy yesterday. Even in temperatures into the mid 90's. I know what the EITMS is and when it's supposed to kick in but it's also supposed to change the sound of your idle and have a distinct odor and I've never noticed either of these. Yes, my EITMS is armed.
Is the Fatboy simply a hotter setup than my Street Glide? I'm perplexed!
