Hi
I have a 2008 Harley Ultra Classic, I have had an issue that no one seems to be able to understand
Riding all good and then engine light comes on,
Throttle stops working (as in twist and nothing)
Engine keeps ticking over but i am just rolling
Stop, switch off and give 5 seconds and then it start again all good.............

Some times it goes well for a while sometimes it happens every 10 minutes or so

Changed Throttle sensor and still happens

Any ideas PLEASE... tis driving me mad
 
Since you changed the TPS I am stumped on what may be happening, only thing I can think of is an overheating problem and it goes into parade mode where only 1 cylinder is firing, but a quick burst from the throttle is supposed to take it out of the parade mode if everything is working properly. Someone will chime in with other suggestions.

'08 was the 1st year of TBW and had many problems with the connector closest to the grip. It is the connector itself. There were several good articles about the fix, but the forum was pirated and those records are gone. Try Googling 2008 TBW problems (maybe youtube also).
