Getting the upper body ready for riding...

This sounds silly but read it through. It works and I'm proof of it.

Inexpensive Weights to Develop Shoulders - great for bike riders!!!

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you have plenty of room on each side.

With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and HOLD them there as long as you can, trying for one full minute.

Relax for one minute

Each day you'll find you can hold the weight longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks.

Repeat the process and then try 50-lb potato sacks. Your goal is to get to 100-lb potato sacks. (This is where I am now after only two months.)

Finally...after you feel you've mastered this you are ready for the next phase. Put a potato in each of the sacks.
