Gas tank

Hi my buddy bought a 1997 dyna and the gas gauge was removed there is the cross over hose but right behind it there is another hose that is blocked off is that where tho wiring go,s up if there was a sender if you take the plug out gas comes out,jel

There's a tube that runs up through the tank for the gauge wiring. No gas will come out that tube as long as it is not damaged.
