Fxrt front end issues

Hello everyone, I have an 85' FXRT that is starting to cup front tires.

The air suspension does not hold air. When I fill up the fork and accumulator, she rides great for about 10 miles. Then the pressure goes to 0.

What is the best repair for this setup?

Should I ditch the air suspension setup?

Can you convert the front forks to conventional?

The bike is mint and stock. I want to make it look original.

Any suggestions?

You can rebuild the system with new fork seals and the associated seals in the manifold at the top of the forks or you could abandon the system and leave it in place and switch to a 10 wt fork oil which would give you a good ride without the addition of the air.

Is it just a simple fix by draining the oil out and using a different weight?

Or is a rebuild necessary?

As long as the seals are not leaking, the heavier 10 wt oil should do it.
