Front Hydraulic Brake Cable Replacement

Hey Folks - Has anyone else noticed that Front Hydraulic Brake Cable Replacement is not detailed in the Repair Manual for 2006 Touring bikes?

I have looked at the set-up and it looks fairly straight forward. Any tips? Before I remove the stock cables should I empty the lines and reservoir? Any advice would be appreciated.

Cover things like paint up so there's no damage and drain the line before removing it to make a clean job out of it. Make sure to bleed the system well after the new line is installed. You may want to bleed it out and then turn the bars to the left and tie the brake handle up to the bar overnight. In the AM just tap on the line and the master cylinder with a hammer handle and watch any bubbles come up in the master cylinder. Then remove the tie holding the brake handle and test it out. You should have a nice firm brake.
