Front Forks

I would like to know how ofter you have to change the oil in the front forks. I changed the fiulds at 20k. Do I need to change it again at 40K??

Your owners manual has the mileage that it is required to change, however once you drain the oil, you'll notice that it has the appearance of metallic paint with sparkles in it . I do not like to go no more than 10K on a fork oil change because of the wear factor involved with these particulates in the fork oil.
There's no substitute for clean oil in anything mechanical.

Agree whole-heartedly with what Glider said above. I feel that regardless of mileage, ALL fluids in the bike (brake, engine oil, tranny gear lube, primary fluid, fork oil) should be changed annually. For those folks that have a "riding season" and store their bikes for an extended period, this should be done before putting the bike up "for the winter".
