Fork Slider Studs

glider.

BOT Machine
These are the two studs that protrude from the end of the right fork slider that hold the axle cap in place. Some have had a problem of the stud snapping when they are removed or installed. It's important as with anything else to use the proper torque on these bolts to prevent this from happening.

If this happens, remove the cap that retains the axle, if there is thread left, you can double nut it (2 nuts locked together) and heat it up a bit to soften any locktite and back it out, then install the new stud with some blue locktite applied.

Otherwise , heat it up with the cap removed and grab it with some vice grips and turn it out if there's not enough thread left.

Only other solution if it's broken off clean is to drill it and use an easy out after heating it up.
