First harley,looking for advice.

Hi all. My first harley. I'm usually a sport bike guy. I'm used to the inline four engine noise. It is different animal this V twin. It's hard for me to judge what a proper idle sounds. There does not seem to be any rhythm to it. Is this normal? It doesn't show any codes in the diagnostics.

Welcome
What yr and model do you have?
I am sure it has a few different sounds compared to a sport bike.
Many are "normal" for a Harley, and some may need to be addressed.
Give us some info on bike , type of noise and when it happens.
Someone can give you some good feedback.

The 45* odd firing vtwin has it's own unique exhaust note at idle and at higher rpms. The Japanese have been trying to replicate it for years but have not been able to do it. Post a video so we can listen.

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome. It's much appreciated. I have a 2010 sportster Iron883 XL883N. There is a good chance it's running fine and I'm just not used to the VTwin cadence. One thing I have noticed is the previous owner installed a lowering kit and it is exceedingly stiff. At that steep angle it may as well not have shocks. Plus, the seat screw cuts the new Dunlop rubber.
