Exhaust heat shields

Hey everyone, I have Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 exhaust with chrome heat shields. I would like to switch over to black heat shields. Does anyone know if that will work, and if Vance and Hines sells the shields separately? Thyanks for any info!

Or check your local area for powder coaters

I am with Jack. if you already have the chrome ones. See if you can find a local powder coater they should be able to strip them and coat them.

Negative on the powder coating - for exhaust parts I recommend ceramic coating. Same principle, but ceramic coating's meant for high temp. I did alot of research & ended up finding a local coater who has ceramic equipment. Should have my SG exhaust back this week & will let all know how well it looks (w/pix)...can't wait! BTW - entire 09 SG exhaust (header, mufflers & shields) was $175 to ceramic coat - cheaper than HD's black heat shields ($250).
